On May 23, 2009, Teaching and Research Seminar for China Institutional Economics was successfully held in Beijing. This meeting was jointly sponsored by CER, Shandong U. and SE, Central U. of Finance and Economics.

The topic of the meeting involves in the teaching and textbook construction of the institutional economics courses in universities or colleges, the frontier of institutional economics.

Over 40 scholars from 20 universities or research intitutes presented the meeting. Representitives reached an agreement that the teaching of institutional economics in China should be expanded and the textbook should be compiled with China characteristics.
