The 2ndChina Symposium on Language and Economics was being held at Shandong University on Oct. 29, 2011. The conference was organized by the Center for Economic Research, Shandong University, in partnership with the China Centrefor Linguistic and Strategic Studies, Nanjing University, and School of Economics and Management, XinJiang University.
The keynote speakers are Prof. Zhou Qingsheng from China Academy of Social Sciences, Prof. Huang Shao-an, Ning Jiming, Zhang Weiguo and Sheng Yuqi from Shandong University, Prof. Xu Daming from Nanjing University, and Prof. Chen Peng from Capital Normal University. Over 20 delegates were presenting their latest papers and having heated discussions on them.
The symposium is an event designed to advance research on the Language and Economics in China. Since 2009, a lot of scholars have gathered at this conference to present recent work, learn about new research developments, debate current issues and discuss ideas with colleagues, and members of the many groups and associations in attendance.
