“MNEs,Property Rights,and New Institutional Economics ” international conference held at Shandong University
At 9:00 on September 24, hosted by the Center for Economic Research, the “MNEs,Property Rights,and New Institutional Economics ” international conference was held at Yifu Science and Technology Museum of Shandong University(Working languages: English). Professor Stephen Nicholas, Academician of the Australian National Academy of Sciences, vice president of the School of Economics and Law, University of Newcastle in Australia、Professor Gorden Boyce,professor of the School of Economics and Law、Professor Shanan Huang,President of the Center for Economic Research of Shandong University,Cheung Kong Scholar、Professor Jian Wei attended the Conference.
Part of teachers and students from SDUCER also attended the Conference and held lively discussions on the theme of the Conference. Graduate students show a good professional qualities and English communication skills.
Professor Shaoan Huang from the Center for Economic Research of Shandong University, first delivered a welcome speech. Then Professor Stephen Nicholas, Professor Gorden Boyce,Dr.Sheng-min Sun, Dr. Haiyi Zhao did academic reports respectively , entitled: New Institutional Economics and Contracting Theory: Operationalising Safeguards in Non-equity Alliances in China,The influence of agriculture economy growth enhanced by land ownership system-----An empirical analysis on China Mainland’s agriculture production efficiency: 1963―1978,Review on foreign entry mode,Networks,Tacit Knowledge,and Innovation,Safeguard Technology Contribution contracts,etc. Professor Jian Wei、Dr. Zhiping Xie gave Comments, students actively asked questions and used tea break time to have a full communication with professors.
This Conference is part of the scope of cooperation between the Center for Economic Research of Shandong University and University of Newcastle in Australia. Professor Stephen Nicholas noted that the reason why we choose the Center for Economic Research of Shandong University as a partner is because of Shandong University's reputation and the Center for Economic Research’s own R & D capability, the two will have more exchange of visits of scholars and academic exchanges in the future.
