On April 13 morning, the well-known economist, Professor Shucheng Liu was invited to the Center for Economic Research of Shandong University and did an academic report entitled "China's economic cycle fluctuations and macro-control".

Professor Liu’s report consisted of two parts：First, did a vertical and horizontal comparison to China's economic growth and fluctuations, showing that China's economic growth is standing at a new historical starting point. Second, in light of how to achieve the smoothizing of economic cycle at a moderate height, six major hot issues were analysized, specific to (1) the construction of new rural areas (2) building an innovation-oriented country (3) the construction of a resource-conserving society and environment-friendly society ( 4) building a socialist harmonious society (5) unswervingly push forward the reform and opening up policy (6) continue to do a good job in macroeconomic regulation and control. The audience benefited a lot from Professor Liu’reports. At the end of the report, Professor Liu also gave serious answers to the questions put forward by students.

Professor Liu has long been engaged in teaching and research on macroeconomic, is currently serving as director of the Economic Research Institute，the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. He is also the editor-in-chief of the“Journal of Economic Research”, tutor of doctoral students,and participated in the national "11th Five-Year" plan drafting.
