Professor Huangwei from Political Economics School of Waseda University was invited to make an academic lecture on “Finance and Growth” for postgraduates and doctors of SDUCER in the meeting room in economics and management building at 9:30 May 28th 2007. Professor Su Tianqi of SDUCER hosted the lecture meeting with the attendance of Professor Huang Shao’an, Dean of SDUCER.
Starting from basic economic growth theories, Professor Huangwei talked about production efficiency in the theories and then elucidated his own theoretical research achievement with multi-national data analysis in terms of finance as driving force for economic entities and as the key point in institution-and-growth relationship.
In the process of questioning and discussing, audience talked over model designation and data evidence with Huangwei; and Professor Huangwei with Professor Sun Tianqi explained some issues students were interested in, such as economic relationship between China and Japan, bubble economy in Japan and so on.
The lecture meeting lasted for two hours in the active and harmonious atmosphere. This meeting broadens the students’ vision and enriches academic exchange experience of SDUCER.
